Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native bilingual. Since she was nine, Collins's ability to communicate in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. Her parents divorced soon after and her mother got married to one of the naval architects called Fabio Fajardo who passed away from kidney cancer in 2006. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer in which she was offered an opportunity to work. At the time of her senior year in high school but knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta visited her local University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her preferences. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. She finished school and enrolled at the university with a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
